Director of the Gas Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Hennadiy Zhuk, took part in the World Biogas Summit (March 29-30, Birmingham, United Kingdom) with a plenary report “Biogas and biomethane in Ukraine – experience, technologies, difficulties and prospects.” The report was presented online at the Discussion Panel “Global Forum of Thought Leaders on Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas”.

On February 22, 2023, during a meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, employees of the Academy’s institutions, in particular the Gas Institute, who take part in hostilities, engage in charitable and volunteer activities, as well as those who in the first days of the war ensured the vital activity of academic institutions, were awarded with the honors of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The Collection of theses of the IV International Conference “Prospects for the Implementation of Innovations in Nuclear Energy”, which was held on September 30, 2022, at the Gas Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, with the aim of considering problems and prospects, increasing the level of effectiveness of scientific and practical research in the field, was published in electronic form. nuclear energy and the nuclear industrial complex, functioning and increasing the safety of nuclear power plants (including during Russian aggression), as well as establishing cooperation and exchange of experience between scientists, employees of the nuclear industry, university teachers, business and authorities.
On October 3, 2022, Director of the Institute Hennadiy Zhuk took part in the International Conference on Hydrogen Aviation in Košice (Slovakia) – Hydrogen Aviation Valley Workshop with a report “Effective technologies and materials for Hydrogen Storage, Transportation and Burning: Gas Institute Experience”.
