By Decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy No. 780/2024 of November 22, 2024, based on the submission of the Committee for the National Prize of Ukraine named after Borys Paton, the laureates of the National Prize of Ukraine named after Borys Paton for 2024 were announced.
The Gas Institute of the NAS of Ukraine received the Gratitude of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for the greatest performance in the EU program “Horizon Europe”.

On November 6, 2024, the Gas Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine held solemn events on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of its founding
On November 6, 2024, the Gas Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine held solemn events on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of its founding:
- opening of memorial plaques to Academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Igor KARP and Borys BONDARENKO;
- ceremonial meetings;
- announced greetings from the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine;
- Academician-Secretary of the Department of Energy and Energy Technologies of the NAS of Ukraine Oleksandr Kyrylenko announced greetings from the President of the NAS of Ukraine, Academician Anatoliy Zagorodnyi, solemnly presented the employees of the institute with awards of the NAS of Ukraine, certificates of the Department of Energy and Energy Technologies of the NAS of Ukraine;
- greetings from the Shevchenkivska (in Kyiv) district State Administration, institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the military, National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture etc.;

On September 26-27, 2024, the VI International Conference “Prospects for the Implementation of Innovations in Atomic Energy” was held in the Great Conference Hall of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The organizers of the conference were the Institute of NPP Safety Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Public Organization “Ukrainian Nuclear Society” (UkrYAT) and the Council of Young Scientists at the Department of Physical and Technical Problems of Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
