Honorary Director of the Gas Institute, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Igor Karp passed away at the age of 88

The Directorate and the Profession Union Committee of the Gas Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine announce with deep sadness that on April 29, 2021, at the age of 88 is died, the director of the institute from 1986 to 2002, honorary director of the institute, doctor of technical sciences, professor, Honored Scientist and Technicians of Ukraine, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Ukraine has lost one of the most authoritative scientists, who until his last breath cared about the development of Ukrainian science and thought only in the interests of the Nation, the Academy and the Institute. Igor Karp made the huge contribution to the development of heat engineering, metallurgy, technologies using of alternative fuels. Eternal memory of the Man whose life motto was “Always in search!”.
